Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Freeze Warning for late tonight into Friday morning, as sub-freezing temperatures, with lows between 20 and 28 degrees, are expected here in the Honey Lake Valley.
The Freeze Warning extends to eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties.
According to NOAA, from late Thursday night through Friday morning, frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Colder valleys across Lassen county could dip into the teens for 3 to 4 hours early Friday morning.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
