
Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Heat Advisory in effect from noon Friday until 9:00a.m. Saturday.
Here in the valley on Friday daytime high temperatures will be between 98 and 103 degrees and lows Friday night between 65 and 70 degrees, with widespread Moderate to
isolated Major HeatRisk.
The Heat Advisory has been issued for eastern Lassen County, including here in Susanville and the Honey Lake Valley.
From noon Friday until Saturday morning heat-related illnesses will be more likely, especially for those spending extended periods outdoors, in poorly cooled indoor spaces or who are sensitive to heat.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
