Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued an urgent weather message as freezing fog and low visibility are already creating dangerous conditions in the Honey Lake Valley.
The Freezing Fog Advisory will be in effect from now until 11:00a.m. Sunday.
Weather experts are predicting visibility below one quarter mile or less in freezing fog here in the Honey Lake Valley, Eagle Lake, Smoke Creek Desert,
and areas around Pyramid Lake.
Low visibility may make driving conditions hazardous along Highway 395 through the Honey Lake Valley from Stateline to Susanville, Highway 447 from Fernley to Gerlach and Pyramid Highway through Palomino Valley.
Roads may also be slick and hazardous. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
