Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Winter Weather Advisory, warning Lassen County residents to brace for a fairly powerful late fall storm bringing gusty winds, rain and snow tonight.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 11:00 this evening until 2:00p.m., Thursday.
Snow is expected above 5,500 ft., with accumulations up to 4 inches.
Winds will be gusting as high as 70mph across the Sierra crest and up to
30mph in the valleys of Lassen, eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Halloween morning commute along highway 36 and 44.
It will also make for a wet afternoon in uptown for the Safe and Sane Halloween event tomorrow.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
