Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Wind Advisory for Susanville and the Honey Lake Valley warning area residents to expect gusty winds up to 50mph until 4:00 this afternoon,especially in wind-prone areas of Highway 395 between Susanville and the Nevada border.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Along with our local windy conditions, southwest winds of 25 to 35mph are expected, with gusts up to 50mph, in Lake Tahoe, Surprise Valley, eastern Plumas County, eastern Sierra County and northern Washoe County.
