Weather Bulletin: Winds Forecast to Last Through This Evening

Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Wind Advisory warning that here in the Honey Lake Valley we will continue seeing southwest winds gusting up to 50mph. Wind prone areas like Milford and Doyle are seeing gusts up to 65mph.

Here in town numerous tree limbs are down in roadways and drivers are advised to use caution.

There is currently a high-wind advisory prohibiting high-profile vehicles from travelling on Highway 395 between Johnstonville and Reno.

Currently LMUD is experiencing localized outages.

It’s also really windy this afternoon in eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties and in Washoe County.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Difficult driving conditions are possible for high profile vehicles.
