
Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area, in effect from this evening at 10:00 until 4:00p.m. Wednesday.
Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected above 5,000 feet, west of Highway 395, with 6 to 12 inches along higher peaks. One to three inches are forecast above 5,000 feet east of Highway 395.
Winds will be gusting as high as 35mph.
The weather advisory was issued for Lassen, eastern Plumas and eastern Sierra counties.
Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Wednesday morning commute.
