Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Winter Storm Warning, forecasting heavy wet snow beginning early Thursday.
Snow accumulations of up to six inches is expected below 5,500 feet, and 10 to 24 inches above 5,500 feet, between Thursday morning and Thursday night.
Winds will be gusting between 30 and 40mph. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
