
Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

Forecasters expect heavy snow with accumulations in Lassen and eastern Plumas counties up to 6 inches below 6,500 feet, 6 to 12 inches above 6,500 feet, and up to 24 inches above 7,000 feet in eastern Sierra County.
Peak winds could gust as high as 40mph Saturday afternoon.
From Saturday morning through Sunday evening travel could be very difficult.
