Forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Reno have issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lassen, eastern Plumas and Sierra counties, including Susanville, Portola, Loyalton, Sierraville and Westwood in effect from 2:00p.m. today until 11:00a.m. tomorrow.

Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are expected in areas above 5,000 feet and up to 2 inches below 5,000 feet.

Locally higher totals of 6 to 12 inches are possible for areas near Lassen Park, Lake Davis, Plumas-Eureka State Park, the Lakes Basin, and Yuba Pass.

It will be a windy storm with winds gusting as high as 50mph.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and impact travel for high profile
vehicles.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
