Update: 1:50p.m.
Fire crews from several agencies incuding Cal-Fire, Susanville City Fire and Susan River Fire District have responded to a vegetation fire in a field just off of Highway 36 at the Susanville city limits.
First responders reported that the fire is about 5 acres in size, is wind-driven and is spotting ahead of the fire. No structures are threatened at this time.
California Highway Patrol is running controlled traffic through the affected area at this time.
