Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13th, and head to Westwood Park to join the festivities at the Westwood Chimney Fund’s 32nd annual Chili Cookoff. The party kicks off at noon and will feature something for everyone, including live music, a 50/50 raffle, kids’ games, face painting and a BBQ.
Of course, the main event is the chili! You can grab a tasting kit to sample all the competitors’ chili and vote for your favorite. Awards will be given for Judges’ Choice, People’s Choice, and Best Decorated Booth. There will even be an award for Best Salsa and Best Popular Drink Choice.
How to Compete
Think your chili has what it takes? Anyone can enter the cook-off, but space is limited to 25 teams, so be sure to sign up early! The registration fee is $20 per team, and each team can have up to two cooks. The deadline to register is September 10th.
