My children have inherited a lot from me. Their hair and eye color. Their height. An aversion to hazelnuts and obviously their robust athleticism. (Insert my husband’s side eye here).
Unfortunately, my little Peachy Pants also inherited my baby shark teeth. Meaning I knew as soon as her adult teeth were coming in, she was going to need braces.
Her smile is beautiful, and it illuminates my soul, however I knew she was going to need orthodontia.
Having gotten my braces in Reno, years and year ago, I was skeptical about taking my daughter locally. However, I had heard rave reviews about Susanville Dental Specialties and decided to check it out.
I am so thankful that I did.
After three and half minutes into her appointment I knew she was in good hands.
Both of the orthodontists on staff are so patient and wonderful. Peach was absolutely terrified about getting any sort of device, (braces, spacers, head gear, etc.) during her first visit and the dentist as well as the other staff were so incredibly sweet to her.
Going over her pictures, her x-rays, and timelines, I thoroughly appreciated them talking to Anna, not just talking over her to explain things to me. I know it made Peach feel included and helped lessen her anxiety immensely.
Peach needed a spacer put in, and the staff truly went out of their way to provide the best service to my little gal. Peach loves, and yes, I repeat LOVES going to her appointments.
She is counting down the days now until she gets her spacer off and her actual braces put on.
Their staff is always so accommodating to my crazy schedule, and they truly take an interest in Peach. Peach loves getting to see Ms. Kimberley and always has some new artwork to give to her ladies at the office.
Aside from braces, Susanville Dental Specialties is a full-blown dental office and is always filled with little smiles. You can tell the staff there is incredibly versed in dealing with children, which takes a very special person.
Outside of their office, you can look for their sponsorship of many youth activities, most recently Susanville Little League. They are always doing fun giveaways and contests for their patients, and their office is always upbeat.
I strongly urge you to follow them on Facebook! Within 30 seconds of scrolling, you can tell that the staff truly loves their jobs and their patients.
If you are looking for a dentist for your kiddo, I cannot recommend them strongly enough! They are an A+ facility, right here in our community, providing smiles one kiddo at a time, making them one of the reasons I love where we live.
