Updated 1:53p.m. According to Lassen County OES Chief Eric Ewing the fire, which is burning just north of the Pine View mobile home park, has consumed 3.5 acres.
Resources at scene include 3 air tankers, 1 helicopter, 6 engines, 2 hand-crews and 1 dozer.

Updated 1:51p.m. Aircraft have arrived and are working the fire. Two tankers are currently over the fire with another on order from Chester.

Updated 1:41p.m. Susanville Police and Lassen County Sheriff’s Deputies are turning away non-residents from the area surrounding the fire and are asking that people don’t try and use nearby surface streets. Traffic is being diverted at Numa and Spring Ridge at highway 139, Cameron, Valley Vista, Monte Vista and Paiute to allow firefighters access to the fire.

Updated 1:15p.m. Crews are continuing to respond to the fire, which is visible from throughout the city. Emergency personnel are requesting that residents avoid the area near the fire to let firefighters and apparatus into the scene.
A firefighting aircraft is on order according to scanner traffic.

Updated 1:03p.m. Fire fighters from City of Susanville, CalFire and several valley fire districts are responding to a reported vegetation fire just north of the Susanville city limits near the dirt extension of Paiute Lane.
According to scanner traffic the fire is in the vegetation.
