According to radio traffic the fire is a small spot that escaped from a controlled burn. The fire is being handled by Janesville Fire, Cal-Fire and Susan River Fire District. The balance of the resources have been cancelled.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters from agencies throughout the valley are sending crews and equipment to Main Street Janesville for a reported escaped controlled burn.
