Wildfire Bulletin: Vegetation and Structure Fire on Richmond Road

According to Lassen’s Emergency Services Office the progression of the fire was stopped at approximately one-acre of vegetation with only minor damage to a commercial structure on Richmond Road.  A recreational vehicle was also involved in the fire.

One injury was reportedly sustained by a civilian at the fire scene requiring transport by SEMSA medics.

Agencies working the incident included; Cal-Fire, U.S. Forest Service, Janesville Fire, Susan River Fire, Lassen OES, Susanville City Fire, California Highway Patrol and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office.

11:29a.m. Fire fighters are gaining the upper hand on the fire which is burning in both a commercial structure and adjacent vegetation. Some resources that had been on order are now cancelled.

11:12a.m. Report from the scene
According to radio traffic one structure is involved at this time, along with a 25×100 foot vegetation fire that is burning in heavy brush.

Eastbound traffic is being held at Singletree lane by LCSO and CHP; westbound traffic on Richmond Road is being held at the junction of 395.

11:03a.m. Fire fighters and other emergency personnel are responding to a reported vegetation and structure fire burning on Richmond Road near the Diamond Crest subdivision.
