9:48p.m. Crews continue to hold firelines behind structures along Thumper Hill Road and are agressively working the fire on the north side of the Susan River canyon

8:19p.m. Additional handcrews have been ordered and will approach the fire from the bottom of the canyon from the Bizz Johnson Trail. Fire personnel are now staging at the intersection of Highway 36 and County Road A1.

8:03p.m. Update on conditions from Thumper Hill IC. Moderate rate of spread and 5 to 10 acres. Resources are on the lines and structure protection.
Two additional water tenders have just been added to the equipment on order.

7:53p.m. Report from Thumper Hill IC that the fire is burning 5 to 10 acres in timber and brush. The fire is burning down into the canyon above Cady Springs.
Report from the scene says three or four structures threatened with structure protection in place.

7:51pm. Additional resources are being ordered for the fire, including Susanville city volunteers. The fire is reported to be burning near structures on Thumper Hill Road.

Multiple agencies are responding to a vegetation fire at Highway 36 and Thumper Hill Road. The fire is reported to be burning on the north side of the Susan River Canyon and is visible from the CDF station above town.
