Friday Evening
Come on down and check out the best-of-the-best from western vendors while enjoying a delicious cocktail served up by the Lassen County Arts Council.
Friday night will feature a free Local Talent Showcase hosted by Master of Ceremonies Richard Elloyan, a 2018 International Western Music Association Songwriter of the Year, twice nominated for Song of the Year by the IWMA.
Elloyan’s music has been recorded by several award-winning Western Music artists and he is a regular on the western music circuit, appearing at the National Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival in Elko, Nevada, the Colorado Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival in Golden, Colorado, Vinton, California, Arizona among others.
He will be playing and reciting his own poems and songs throughout the evening, in between local showcase performances.
Saturday Afternoon and Evening
On Saturday gates will open at 2:00p.m. and make sure you bring some spendin’ money, because the vendor hall will feature a whole world of cowboy and country stuff you will want to take home.
Along with the shopping there will be performances by local dance troupes and a whiskey tasting.
The evening concert will feature northern California’s premiere country rock band Township from Sacramento. With roots in various styles of music, Township will be playing everything from country to southern rock, blues, classic rock and beyond.
Opening the concert is local independent country singer-songwriter Caleb Montgomery whose music is a unique blend of neo-traditional and Western styles, infused with troubadour-style lyrics that are perfect for storytelling.
Caleb just released his first single, “Whiskey Talks,” ahead of his debut full-length album titled “Food Stamps Don’t Buy Flowers,” which will launch later this spring.
