‘Tis the season – and this Friday and Sunday the Susanville Symphony will bring glad tidings and holiday spirit to Lassen County with its annual Christmas Concert performances.
“This is such a great concert for everyone” conductor Ben Wade says. “Who doesn’t love to go to the show for the holidays! It’s an American tradition really… dreaming of a white Christmas… Santa Claus and the wonder and thrill it all holds for children… sometimes dreaming of being a kid again. And of course there is the music that brings it all to life. You do not think of Christmas without singing in your head, or out loud, carols and popular songs that personify the season.”
The symphony this year will feature many of these easily recognizable songs along with current popular holiday hits. Of course there will also be classical Christmas music for those that love pure symphony music.
The annual Christmas performance has become a tradition for folks here in Susanville and this year the performance is filled with glorious music to ring-in the season, including many of your favorite Christmas carols and an audience sing-along.
Performances are Friday, December 12th at 7:00p.m. and Sunday, December 14th at 2:30p.m. at the Susanville Assembly of God Church.
Reserved seats are $27 each, general admission is $22 and on Sunday student tickets are available for $12. You can buy them at Margie’s Book Nook or Axia Home Loans.
