The Susanville Symphony’s 21st season kicks off September 28th, with the always-awesome outdoor Concert on the Green on the lawn at the historic courthouse!
The first concert of the season is one of the most unique outdoor performances you will ever experience. Playing on the steps of Lassen County’s 105-year-old, historic Courthouse, the Concert on the Green features an eclectic mix of music – classical, pop, rock, funk, big band – in what has become the most well-attended concert of each season.
“The concert season is upon us! We are holding our membership drive at the moment, trying to get new members, and some of the previous members.,” explains Symphony Artistic Director and Conductor Ben Wade.
“The biggest advantages to having season tickets are saving money and making sure you have a reserved middle seat in the United Methodist Church.”
Or, as Wade puts it simply, “Plan ahead, get season tickets, and sit pretty.”
There will be a raffle and prizes for those who sign up for season tickets at the Concert on the Green, as well as a prize for the best “dressed” table.
Beyond the Concert on the Green, this season’s concert themes include ‘Legends of the Fall’ in October at the famous Satica Barn owned by Larry and Donna Smith, the ever-popular Christmas Concert at the United Methodist Church, the Spring Fling Big Band and the Pops Concert in May featuring the Wonderful World of Disney.
If you buy a season ticket now you will get a discounted price on the five-concert season. General admission to each concert is $35, so if you plan to see them all the $150 season ticket makes sense. Tickets at the door will be $40 each.
