The Susanville Performing Arts Center has announced a pair of upcoming fundraiser concerts taking the stage at the historic Sierra Theatre in uptown Susanville, September 3rd and 5th. Audiences can look forward to two distinct evenings of live entertainment, highlighting the evocative sounds of Latin America alongside authentic Christian country music.
We have tickets to give away for both nights of next week’s fundraiser! Deadline to enter is midnight on September 2nd and we will announce tickets winners for both concerts Thursday morning.
The fundraising series kicks off on Thursday, September 3rd, at 7:00p.m. with TrĂptico, a uniquely captivating ensemble featuring harp, violin, and bandoneĂłn. Blending classical refinement with the passion and rhythmic vitality of Latin American traditions, the trio guides listeners on a rich musical journey ranging from the soulful intensity of Argentine tango to colorful works inspired by regional landscapes, cultures and stories.
Their collaboration began nearly a decade ago following a chance connection between violinist Vanessa Porter and bandoneonist Alejandro PinzĂłn, soon expanding when harpist Marina Roznitovsky Oster joined the group. After years of artistic exploration, the trio reunited in 2024 to present their debut project, The Colors of Latin America, celebrating their distinctive sound and shared passion for musical storytelling.

The music continues on Saturday, September 5th, at 7:00p.m. when country artist Chad Bushnell brings his authentic sound and Christian standards to the stage, joined by special guest opening act Olivia Vega.
Over the course of his career, Bushnell has opened for and shared stages with country music icons such as Dwight Yoakam, Kris Kristofferson, Neal McCoy, Billy Currington, Mark Wills, Collin Raye, Mark Chesnutt, Jerrod Niemann, Exile, Lee Brice, Aaron Watson, and Scotty McCreery. His catalog includes chart-topping Christian Country singles such as “What Would Jesus Do,” “That Ain’t My Church,” “Thank God,” and “Imperfect Prayer.”
His studio projects feature collaborations with notable industry figures, including his EP What They Ain’t Tellin’ Us—recorded at Hag Studio with Ben Haggard and members of The Strangers—his EP Believer, produced by Alabama lead guitarist Kimo Forrest, and his full-length album Whiskey to Work, produced by Nate Coon and Derek Hames.
Tickets for each performance are $20. Admission is available now online at www.susanvillepac.com, in person at Margie’s Book Nook in uptown Susanville, or at the Sierra Theatre box office where credit cards are accepted.
