Winners have been announced in the Lassen County Arts Council’s 2014 ‘Paint the Town’ calendar competition.
“Among the outstanding pieces submitted were oil, ink work, urban sketching, acrylic and watercolor paintings,” said Debra Miller, President of the Lassen County Arts Council.
“It was exciting to see all the creativity and skill from our artists come together to represent the City of Susanville.”
The contest was focused on depicting places, buildings, and landmarks in the City of Susanville. The three winning entries, along with nine other works, will be included in the 2014 calendar.
First Place: Susanville Police Officer Robin Henry: Pointillism – Old Mill Towers.
Second Place: Lisa O’Loughlin – Oil – Christmas at Elks Lodge.
Third Place: Bonnie Idso – Oil- Autumn Bridge.
