Banner Lassen Medical Center will present a free informational seminar on “Women’s Heart Health” from 5:00 to 7:00p.m., on April 19th at the Courthouse Café, 2455 Main Street.
The seminar will be presented by Dr. Braatz, a surgeon at Banner Lassen in Susanville whose specialty is OB/GYN. Braatz is retired from the Navy, and has worked as a surgeon for Banner for 10 years.
Braatz will talk about signs and symptoms of heart disease possibly being different for women, effects of birth control and menopause as risk factors.
The evening will include helpful advice on preventing heart disease, as well as treatment options for those who have been diagnosed with heart disease.
