World Famous Lizard Races Just Part of the Doyle Days Fun This Saturday

A tradition for more than thirty years, the annual Doyle Days celebration in Doyle brings together live entertainment, fun activities, a parade and the World-Famous Lizard Races for one exciting day of small-town fun this Saturday, August 3rd.

Thisyear’s theme is ‘Patriotic Lizard’ and the lizard drawing featured on this year’s advertising is by Layton Allen.

The Doyle Days celebration kicks off at 7:30 Saturday as the Doyle Fire Department hosts a pancake breakfast.

The Doyle Days parade will take to Main Street at 10:00a.m. with Lizard Races starting at noon.

There will also be a car show, carnival games and prizes, a Corn Hole tournament, a magician with a mind blowing fire show and magic tricks, a sack race, a Hulu Hoop contest, a frozen T-Shirt contest, a wheel barrel race, a cake walk, food and craft vendors and a prize drawing at 4:00p.m.

Guinness World Record holders Hope Wheels will be there.

Lassen Fire Safe Council will have a supply of their ever-popular Dalmatian Fire Chief stuffies, fire fighting themed silicone wrist bands, a variety of kids fire helmets including some in pink & w/ dalmatian spots!

Indian Tacos will be sold beginning at noon until they are all gone and the prize drawing will take place at 4:00p.m.

The street dance at the Fire Hall from 7:00 to 10:00 will feature the band RUMMY out of Quincy playing rock and blues music. The Doyle Fire Department invites everyone to bring their chairs and dancing shoes.
