Lassen Senior Services’ big annual fundraising BBQ competition is just a little over a week away and organizers are looking for young grillmasters to participate in a new feature this year, a Kid’s Que for burgeoning cooks between the ages of 6 and 15 years old.
The Kid’s Que will be held from 2:00 to 3:00p.m. on August 17th with 6 to 10-year olds cooking hamburgers and 11 to 15-year olds grilling up steaks.
Cost to enter is free and there are only openings for 20 kids, so get your application in soon. You can email Alan Dowdy at [email protected] to get an application.
The event, which is sponsored by Sierra Desert Properties, is part of LSS’s annual cookoff, which is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
