Ludo arrived at the Lassen County Animal Shelter as a stray, so his history is unknown. Staff has been working to get to know him better. So far, Ludo has shown that he has a fun side and he loves hanging out with people. His legs are short and squat, so he’s apparently gotten into the habit of jumping up, which staff has been working on with him.
This guy is all smiles and cuddles. He just wants to be shown lots of attention. Ludo is a heck of a snuggler and is very silly; he scoots and snorts when excited. In the outside dog runs, Ludo has shown positive behaviors through fencing with other dogs. He seems interested in playing, which is a great sign. Further evaluations will be done by staff to determine how Ludo does with doggy friends.
Ludo is estimated to be about 3 years old, thought to be an American Bulldog mix, and will need to be neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption. If interested in meeting Ludo, or other adoptable animals at the shelter, please call the staff at (530) 257-9200.
The Lassen County Animal Shelter will be closed Monday, February 20th in observance of President’s Day. The shelter will be open again the following Tuesday for regular business hours.
Additional: If there are dogs already in the home, it is suggested that potential adopters bring them to the shelter to do a meet and greet with the new dog.
Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.
