Adopt A Pet Today from the Lassen County Animal Shelter – Morticia

Morticia has moved to Pups on Parole

Morticia is a high energy type of girl looking for an active household to join.

This dark beauty came to the Lassen County Animal Shelter as a stray. She has since been spayed, brought up to date on her vaccinations, and is heartworm free. Morticia’s potential adopter should be ready to put some time and energy into training her. She’s friendly, attentive, and treat motivated. With that said, she has habits that need to be addressed; such as jumping up and pulling on a lead. Due to these things, staff recommends she go to a home with older children due to the fact that she could knock over small children quite easily.

Morticia is estimated to be about a year and a half old. She still has lots of puppy energy and it’s in a big package. With the right guidance, plenty of exercise, and consistent training, Morticia will without a doubt blossom into a wonderful, life-long loyal companion.

If interested in Morticia, or other adoptable animals, please call the Lassen County Animal Shelter at (530) 257-9200.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours during the COVID-19 pandemic are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 257-9200.
