Arts Council Presents New Coloring Club for Adults

adultcoloringfeature
artslogoAdult Coloring is the newest form of art therapy and the Lassen County Arts Council is launching their own coloring club – described as a stress reducer, anxiety relief and even nostalgic.

It’s a popular trend all across the country, adult coloring books make up five of the current top selling books on Amazon. Bookstores have aisles of them, grocery stores have them on the shelves and the arts council is inviting you to come see what all the fun is about!

“Coloring is more fun when you do it in the company of friends old and new,” according to the Arts Council. “We encourage you to bring your own supplies, but we will have coloring pages, pencils, and markers available for you. There are also Adult Coloring Books available in our gift shop.”

Think you’re too old to color? Think again! No rules here – purple elephants and green bunnies are all acceptable!

This is a wonderful opportunity to unplug from social media and electronic entertainment and practice mindfulness.

You can join the club and color on the first and third Wednesday of every month in the gallery from 1:00 to 2:30p.m.

“We hope to take our Adult Coloring Club on the road on special occasions to share the fun with other groups. The Gallery will provide light refreshments.  Come join us for stress relieving Adult Coloring.”

Attendees must be 18 years or older.
