In preparation for National Electrical Safety Month in May, Lassen Municipal Utility District is asking local kid artists to submit their design for the 2015 Student Art Safety Poster Contest. The posters will illustrate the theme, ‘Power and Safety – Stay Clear and Stay Alive!’ and must be submitted by 4:00p.m. on April 20th.
Winners will be announced in May and each winning artist will receive a $25 Visa gift card, as well as having a poster of their artwork displayed in the LMUD office, in the Lassen Ruralite and here on SusanvilleStuff.com.
LMUD Energy Services Manager Theresa Phillips explains that the contest is part of the utility’s commitment to the safety of its employees and to the community they serve.
All kindergarten through sixth grade students who are enrolled in public, private or home school here in Lassen County are eligible to enter.
Entry forms and contest rules may be downloaded by clicking on this link, or you may pick one up at the LMUD business office located at 65 S. Roop Street in Susanville.
