At around 1:40p.m. firefighters from the City of Susanville and the Susan River Fire District responded to a reported structure fire in the back of the Travel Inn motel located across from the high school at 1067 Main Street.
First crews on-scene report smoke visible from a window of the motel.
The Susanville Police Department has blocked off a single lane of Main Street to allow firefighters access and room to work the fire.
