Susanville United Methodist HOPE Food Pantry operates out of the Social Hall (on Cottage Street) at Susanville United Methodist Church. The food pantry is open every Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You do not need to bring any ID or proof of employment or residency with you. The wide variety of food items changes weekly and often includes produce and dairy. The volunteers will sign you in and give you a list of what food is available so you can select what you want. The third annual Lassen County Cowboy Festival will be held at the fairgrounds March 22nd and 23rd, and is set to feature some talented local performers, a cowboy poet, a home-grown country troubadour, one of the northstate’s most popular country bands and all sorts of cowboy fun. Admission to the event, which is made possible by a partnership between the Fair and the Lassen County Arts Council, is free, with gates opening at 5:00p.m. on Friday and 2:00p.m. on Saturday.
