Controlled Traffic at Fredonyer After Traffic Collision

A reported traffic collision between a truck loaded with fuel and another vehicle shut down Fredonyer summit on Highway 36 between Susanville and Westwood for a time Wednesday morning, with the Highway Patrol opening the road to one-way controlled traffic at around 11:00a.m.

According to information from the CHP Incident log traffic is expected to be affected until 5:00p.m. today as HAZMAT crews respond to the scene to remove the vehicle and mitigate the hazardous spill.
