The Lassen County Federal Credit Union has asked us to pass on some important information for customers who might have received fraudulent text messages this weekend.
Affected customers found a message on their phones warning them that their bank card had been deactivated and that they needed to dial the number 530.282.1253. That telephone number takes customers to a faux card activation center where they are prompted to enter their bank card number.
