“I measured Eagle Lake this morning at 5092.23 feet,” Dr. Bateson said in his Monday, July 4th, update on lake levels , “which is 6.36 inches higher than last year on the same date.”
According to Bateson the lake has lost 5 15/16 inches since May 30th, but that is, “definitely better than last year.”
As for rain totals – Bateson measured .57 inches of rain in June for 105% of average for the month. That, according to Bateson’s records, brings us to 28.56 inches for the entire year, which equals 133% of average.
