Dr. Bateson, Susanville’s resident meteorological expert, checks in with a look at rainfall totals for the month of May, and lake levels at Eagle Lake.
Bateson measured 1.7 inches of precipitation during May – that’s 155% of average for the month, bringing our total for the year to date to 28.85 inches or 145% of average.
According to Bateson’s measurements, Eagle Lake has come up another 5/8ths of an inch since May 21st. It is now at 5097.59 feet, having risen 2.03 feet from the lowest measurement last November.
