Stop by the Lassen County Fair This Week and Say Hello!
Meet Zane Fish and his hog Sir Pigston. They will be heading to the Lassen County Fair next week. This is Zane’s second year in Dyer Mountain 4-H and his second year showing swine. Zane is a 12 year old who is all about hard work and community. He is not only a 4H member but plays sports too. Zane would like to invite you to the Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday July 23rd at 8:30am.
This is 14 year old Reagan Beahler. When she’s not busy crushing it on the volleyball court, she’s at the barn taking care of her hog Mortimer. This is Reagan’s second year in 4-H and she is the clubs vice president. Reagan would like to invite you to the come support Dyer Mountain 4-H as well as Westwood FFA at the Swine Show on Thursday July 20th at 8:00am.
This is 12 year old Emma Nelson and her lamb Milo. This is Emma’s sixth year in 4-H and her second year with Dyer Mountain. She is the club’s secretary. Throughout the year Emma stays busy playing soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Emma would like to invite you to the Sheep show where she could go up against her big brother in FFA. Come check out the showdown on Wednesday July 19th at 8am.
Meet Weston Duerksen and his rabbit Max. Weston has been a member of Dyer Mountain 4-H for the past two year. He is full of personality and always keeps us laughing. Weston will be showing Max on Friday July 21st at Lassen County Fair Rabbit Barn at 8am.
Meet first year 4-H member Brooklyn Schier. This may be her first year, but she jumped right in and got to work. Brooklyn has been working hard with her first swine project, her pig Hugo. She is Dyer Mountain 4-H Club’s sergeant of arms. Brooklyn alse kept busy this year playing basketball and volleyball. Brooklyn would like to invite you to the Swine Show on Thursday July 20th at 8am.
Meet 9 year old Karah Edmonds and her chicken Spring. This is her second year in 4-H. This young lady stays busy year round. When she’s not tending to her chickens she can be found downhill skiing or swimming for the Lassen Volcanos swim team. Karah would like to invite you to the Poultry show on Wednesday July 19th at 8am.
This is 12 year old Elaina Strand and she is the Dyer Mountain 4-H treasurer. Elaina will be showing her hog Drama on Thursday July 20th at 8am. This is Elaina’s second year showing swine. Truth be told if Elaina could show one of each animal, she would. When Elaina is not busy at the barn, she can be found playing soccer, basketball, or volleyball. Elaina would like to invite you to the Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday July 23rd at 8:30am.
Meet 14 year old Payge Martin. This is her first year in 4-H and she has been busy raising meat rabbits. Payge is completing the first ever meat rabbit project for our club. She would like to invite you to the Rabbit Show on Friday July 21st at 8am and also to the Lassen County Fair Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday July 23rd at 8:30am.
This is Sophia Lemaster, she is 13 years old and holds the position of club president.
Sophia is a hard worker at the barn and also keeps busy playing soccer and volleyball.
This is her second year with Dyer Mountain 4-H. She will be showing her pig Titan on Thursday July 20th at 8am. Sophia would like to encourage you all to come to the Swine Show.
This is Kileeann Shanks and this is her first year in Dyer Mountain 4-H. She will be showing her chicken Autumn at the Poultry Show. Kileeann stays busy running her lemonade stand and she is quite the entrepreneur serving lemonade in the summer and hot cocoa in the winter. Please come show your support and stop by the Poultry Show on July 21st at 8:00am.
Meet Isaac Shanks and his chicken Rain. Isaac loves baseball, cars, animals, and nature. This is his first year in 4-H and he will be showing his chicken at the Poultry Show on Wednesday July 19th at 8am.
