Lassen National Forest invites everyone to come enjoy the fun as they host an open house and Easter Egg hunt for all ages, rain or shine, this Friday, March 29th, from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. at the Eagle Lake Ranger District Office, 477-050 Eagle Lake Road.
The event will give you a chance to meet new District Ranger, Bobette Jones, talk with natural resource specialists and learn more about our local wildlife, recreation opportunities, archaeology, wildland firefighting, forest management, and current and upcoming projects on the Eagle Lake Ranger District.
“I am excited and grateful to have the opportunity to serve as District Ranger for Eagle Lake Ranger District where I started my career with the Forest Service as a seasonal employee years ago. I look forward to meeting you, and sharing ideas on how we can work together to be good stewards for our public lands for present and future generations,” said Bobette Jones, Eagle Lake District Ranger, Lassen National Forest.
“Have you ever wanted to explore one of our wildland fire engines, buggies, or the tracked equipment we use to navigate deep winter snows?” asks LNF Public Affairs Officer Amber Marshall, “Come explore with us and hang out with Smokey Bear! Learn what you can do to help prevent wildfires.”
Easter Egg Hunts will be held for three age groups, with one special “Golden Egg Grand Prize” winner in each of the three groups: ages 4 and under, ages 5 through 9, and ages 10 through 15.
