Lassen Fire Safe Council will be holding their March General Meeting on the 20th, at 5:30p.m. in the Susan River Fire Hall in Johnstonville.
Come get updates on the grant projects and stay for some light refreshments and to speak with Fire Safe staff and partner agencies.
Lassen County Defensible Space Program
Is your property eligible for this service? In 2023 and 2024, assistance will be available to help vulnerable, disabled, or low-income communities within Lassen County create good Defensible Space.
Lassen Fire Safe Council’s Defensible Space Program includes no-cost property assessments and treatment of eligible properties. Eligible properties are those properties that are located within low-income communities, disadvantaged communities, or are owned by a senior citizen, disabled person, or veteran within a High or Very High Severity Rating area.
LFSC’s staff is working on implementing this program.
For now, they have sign-up sheets circulating throughout the Firewise communities.
