The crowd’s thunder-like applause could be heard echoing off the walls Thursday evening as gifted young performers took center stage and entertained the crowd with their assortment of talents.
Lassen High student Ivanna Rose organized and held a local talent show at Susanville’s Veteran’s Hall where the audience was treated to a show of singing, dancing, poetry reading and instrumental music.
After the performances took place the audience was able to participate and vote for their favorite act.
When votes were tallied the award for people’s choice went to Mark Nez for his electric guitar solo, the best music award went to Cami Cutler for her piano solo and the most talented award went to Coralyn Desselle for her dance routine.
“There was lots of unknown talent shown tonight,” said Coralyn, “So I was really excited when they called my name and said I won.”
Rose summed up her talent show project by saying, “I wanted a way to get the whole school involved in an event, and I’m really pleased with tonight’s ending results.”
