Hat Creek Ranger District Closed Due to Power Outage

Significant power outages caused by the Hat Fire have forced the temporary closure of the Hat Creek District Office in Fall River Mills. The office will be closed for the remainder of today. It is unknown at this time when the power will be restored and when the office will reopen. However, the Old Station Visitors Center remains open for business today.

The Hat Fire which started yesterday was last estimated to be 2,500 acres located along Highway 299 East and Fish Hatchery Road, northeast of Burney, California.
