Facebook lets you socialize, post picture and, now, a new application claims to be able to help you figure out who you contracted the flu from and how to avoid getting the flu.
The app, “Help, I have the Flu,” allows Facebook users to make a determination based on status updates. Along with finding places where friends might have checked in, the app also scans for such words as “flu,” “coughing” and “sneezing.” It also looks at late-night status updates as a sign that the friend may not be getting enough sleep. Users can notify friends that they have the potential to infect other people
Due to how the flu is spread, users should consider whether they’ve been in close contact with the alleged sick person before raising any accusations.
The flu is transmissible, which means it is air-born and can be spread easily. When we cough or sneeze without covering our mouths, droplets of germs spreads into the atmosphere sometimes you might not even know you are sick
So app or no app, there’s really no sure-fire way to know where you got the flu., but it might be fun to check out the application.
The best way to prevent it is to get a flu shot and to wash your hands thoroughly according to the CDC.
