Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District will be Hosting Carbon Farming Workshop

Various new programs and funds are becoming available to support carbon farming practices and the Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District will be hosting a Carbon Farming Workshop featuring Jeff Creque, PhD., from the Carbon Cycle Institute and Marie Hoff from Fibershed.

Other presenters included the UC Cooperative Extension and the NRCS.

According to event organizers this is the first workshop of its kind in our region and it will take place at the Honey Lake Valley Grange, 472-690 Theatre Road.

The carbon farming workshop will run from 5:30p.m. until 8:00p.m., on July 25th.

The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District is a special district of the state of California, located in Lassen County and set-up under California law to be a locally governed agency with their own locally appointed or elected, independent board of directors. The HLVRCD implements projects on public and private lands and educates landowners and the public about resource conservation.
