Lassen High Senior Project Coordinator Christy Rose is looking for judges for this year’s senior project presentations on May 6th, 7th and 8th.
Each evening begins with a dinner and orientation at 5:15 followed by judging at 6:00. Judges spend approximately four hours during the evening listening to senior presentations and grading the students on their learning and growth over the course of the year.
Seniors are required to complete a senior project to graduate. This project includes a research paper, fieldwork related to the paper, a portfolio and an oral presentation. The senior projects require a great deal of time and effort on the part of the students and the end results are often inspiring and impressive.
“Anyone that cares about kids and our future and has knowledge in any of these areas would make a great judge,” explains Rose.
Judges are needed in the following area of expertise: woodworking, animals, music, law enforcement, audio track design, business, broadcasting, coaching, athletics, MMA, cosmetology, tattooing, massage, art, medical, education, automotive, firefighting, coroner, computers, sign language, ministry, construction, engineering, archeology, nature trail construction, performing arts, photography, dental, writing, military, electrician and car audio.
If you have a few hours next Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening please contact Christy Rose at [email protected] or call 251-1159.
