Kindness Matters: Lassen Office of Education Encouraging Random Acts of Kindness

All kids deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and caring environment and for the next week the Lassen County Office of Education is encouraging students, parents and teachers to practice Random Acts of Kindness – spreading good will through a series of simple, kind acts to people around you.

The LCOE’s ‘Kindness Matters’ program is a powerful tool that actively engages students, teachers, administrators, families, and community members, creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, unity, and respect. It is also a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement.

Using the provided checklist of 50 kind acts, you can accept the challenge and show the world that Kindness Matters.

Kindness Matters is part of a worldwide initiative called the Great Kindness Challenge, in which schools work to create kinder classrooms.

According to thegreatkindnesschallenge.com more than 10,000,000 students, in over 100 countries are participating, including 19 thousand schools, totaling 500 million acts of kindness.
