A meeting of the Lassen Child Care Planning Council will be held Thursday, September 19th, and the council is inviting input from anyone in the community with an interest in child care and development services.
The purpose of the council is to facilitate the delivery of quality, accessible child care services and facilities through collaboration, education, advocacy, and maximizing local, state, federal and private resources.
The group provides leadership and assistance in the establishment and support of quality child care by supporting quality child development programs and quality relationships in a childās life.
They assist in the expansion and development of child care programs, serving as a focal point for community support of child care. The LCCPC also supports and enhances the training and recruitment of child care professionals.
Membership consists of approximately 10 active members including parents, consumers, child care providers and community representatives. Through the process of ongoing collaboration, the members plan and coordinate child care and development services.
The meeting will be held between 3:30 and 4:30p.m. at the Lassen County Office of Education 472-013 Johnstonville Road, by the airport.
