Are you looking to become involved in the arts here in your community? The Lassen County Arts Council is looking for additional members to join the board.
You do not need to be an artist or musician to be on the LCAC board, but you do need to have a passion for the arts. Please bring your ideas, talent and expertise to the group as part of the next phase of revitalizing the Arts Council.
“We need Left Brain people as well as Right Brain people,” says LCAC Director Camille Jauregui. “Specifically, we could use someone with business or financial experience.”
According to Jauregui the Arts Council is looking for a treasurer as well as someone to head the Visual Arts Committee.
“Your commitment will help us expand our resources and generate new ideas for our organization.”
The LCAC board meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:00p.m.
Requirements as a Board Member include:
- Willing to put in the hours
- Attend meetings
- Participate in events
- Serve on committees and take on special assignments
- Promote LCAC within the community
- Contribute to fundraising efforts through sales, promotion, and volunteering.
