Lassen County Chamber of Commerce will once again be coordinating the Fair Parade which will take place, Saturday, July 23rd at 10:00a.m. Entry forms can be found on our website, www.lassencountychamber.org, or in the office at 1516 Main Street in Susanville.

The arrival of summer means the return of the Susanville Farmer’s Market on Pancera Plaza in Historic Uptown Susanville. The market is held each Saturday, from 8:00 to 12:00p.m., thru October 1st.

This year Wednesday evening markets have been scheduled. The market will feature fresh produce, meats, local crafts, delicious food, and more. The organizers of the market are planning to bring even more vendors and excitement to this year’s market so be sure to add the farmer’s market to your Saturday and see what they have to offer. Nature Camp Registration is Open! This camp is brought to you by Lassen Land and Trails Trust, providing an opportunity for kids to explore nature and wonder outside their own backyard. There will be two sessions: Session 1 July 25-29, for kids 8-10 years old and Session 2 August 1-5 for kids 10-12 years old. This is first come first served so register now! Diamond Mountain Speedway will have a full weekend of racing, July 2nd through July 4th at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. Saturday will consist of practice rounds for the drivers; Sunday and Monday the races start at 4:00p.m. Sunday, July 4th  fireworks immediately following the races!

Lassen County Chamber of Commerce is moving on to the 3rd phase of the Hometown Pride Cleanup. This will take place on Saturday, July 9th at 10:00a.m., located in the SingletonAuman parking lot at 1740 Main Street. This phase will cover Alexander to Fairfield. We are looking for volunteers, you can sign up online, www.lassencountychamber.org or call our office for more information, 530.257.4323.

Lassen County Fair is upon us in just three weeks! Cowboy Boots and Country Roots will have everything from carnival rides, fried food, craft exhibits and much, much more! This year’s jam-packed events will kick off on Tuesday, Jul 19th with the 4H BBQ and a CCPRA Rodeo. Wednesday, we look forward to the Grand Opening of the Fair, Ribbon Cutting at 11:00a.m., at the Main Entrance with the Miss Lassen County Pageant and the annual Horseshoe Tournament in the evening. Thursday won’t disappoint with Kiddie Day, free to all kids 12 and under and Micro Mania – Midget Wrestling Tour that night. Friday and Saturday the Grandstand will host concerts featuring Aaron Watson and 90’s country music legend, Tracy Lawrence. Saturday’s Fair Parade will start at 10:00a.m., in uptown Susanville and will make its way down Main Street to Fair Drive. Sunday will conclude the fair with the Junior Livestock Auction and Diamond Mountain Speedway holding a Demolition Derby, Little Tykes Derby and Races.
