Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Update for March 11th

March Mixer. Come out for the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce February Chamber Mixer hosted by Honey Lake Firearms on Thursday, March 21st from 5:30 to 7:30p.m., located at 600 Main St., Susanville. Bring your family and friends for an evening of fun, food, drinks, prizes, and good company. Everyone is welcome, you do not have to be a Chamber member to attend. Susanville Best of Broadway presents their 2024 Concert Series, The Broadway Renaissance. Tickets for the 2024 Concert Series are available now at Margie’s, Zaengles, and online at Susanvillebestofbroadway.org. Rock of Ages, Cinderella, Cabaret, Anastasia, Bye Bye Birdie, The Lion King, and Something Rotten each have something to entertain every member of your family. Tickets are $20.

Honey Lake Ducks Unlimited 2024 Banquet will be on Saturday, March 9th at the Lassen County Fairgrounds, Jensen Hall. For tickets go to www.norcaldu.org, or call Cody at 1.559.579.7792

Here is your chance to enjoy a great Saint Patrick’s dinner and support the Lassen Humane Society, where all proceeds directly benefit the animals of Lassen County. The Humane Society is inviting everyone to a complete corned beef and cabbage dinner with all the fixings on Friday, March 15th, at the Susanville Senior Center, 1700 Sunkist Drive. Dinner will be served from 5:00 to 7:00p.m., at the cost of $18 for adults and $10 for children ten and under. Take-out dinners are available. There will also be a donation drawing. Lassen County Fair Cowboy Festival will be March 22nd and 23rd. Get your boots stomping with critically acclaimed modern day troubadour Caleb Montgomery, poetry of Richard Elloyan and an incredible showcase of local artists. Kicking off the festival experience in 2024 with whiskey tasting games and Western arts and crafts. Tickets will be on sale soon at lassencountyfair.org.

Lassen Community College Gunsmithing Program. Registration for the full-time Gunsmithing Program, Fall 2024 will open March 25th, 2024. Any questions can be directed to [email protected] or at 530.251.8809.

Benson’s Humble Homestead presents Breakfast on the Farm, Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 to 4:00p.m., at 712-960 Sunnyside Road, Janesville. The Waffle Bar is coming. Vendors, Waffle Bar, animals and so much more.

Lassen College Rodeo brings you Caleb Montgomery Concert and Album Release Party on Saturday, April 13th at the Lassen County Fairgrounds pavilion. Tickets are good for both the rodeo at 4:00p.m., and the concert at 7:30p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available at Margie’s Book Nook, Bottle and Brush Art Bar, or Online. On Friday Rodeo is free admission and starts at 6:00p.m.

Save the Date. Soroptimist International of Susanville will be holding their Annual Margarita Fest on Saturday, May 3, 2024, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds, Jensen Hall.

The Children’s Fair will be held on Saturday, May 4th, from 10:00 until 3:00p.m., at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, including dancers from local dance studios and costumed characters. Static displays of emergency vehicles and other fun things for kids to see will be around each corner at the fairgrounds. Dandy the Smokeless Dragon will be there, and Lassen Youth Football and Star Elite Cheer, Lassen Youth Soccer and the Lassen Aquatics will also be participating in the event. Admission is free. The 35th Lassen Jr. Fishing Derby has been set for Saturday, May 18th. Coveted prizes donated by community businesses and locals are handed out to the biggest catch of the day in each age group, along with sportsmanship awards.

All new for 2024. The Bizz Running Company is introducing the Bizz Johnson Express Half Marathon Relay. Bring your best running friend and run this fast half marathon course. Leg 1 starts with the Express Half Marathon and completes the first 7 miles. After going underneath Highway 36 and back up the other side, you’ll hand off to Leg 2 who will cruise the last 6.1 miles to the Finish Line at Hobo Camp.
