It was another busy day for volunteers from the Lassen County Toys for Tots program who were tasked with doing another round of shopping for the more than 750 kids who will be blessed by the program this year.

“Wow, what a day,” explained Organizer Terrie Ginder on social media. “We went shopping again. So many toys and clothes to help fill Toyland. Lots to do when you have 750+ kids on your list to shop for.”

Ginder said that the volunteers are trying to fill those Christmas wish lists while shopping locally to help support our community.

Volunteers who helped stock up the Toyland today included Justin Ginder, Dina Moberg, Elizabeth Moberg, Cheyenne Moberg and Stephanie Vaughn.

Toys for Tots Holding Fire Wood Raffle to Raise Funds

“We have had several very generous members of our community donate 3-cords of wood to raffle,” said Ginder.

“Our volunteers are currently splitting the wood now. It will be delivered and we will help stack it for you.”

There will be three winning tickets drawn with each ticket winning one cord of wood. The tickets are $10 each or 3 tickets for $25 and the drawing will be held on December 8th and you do not need to be present to win.

All Toys for Tots volunteers have tickets available or you can purchase tickets at Margies Book Nook in uptown Susanville.

Raffle tickets will also be available at collection events; on December 1st, from 8:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. at the Uptown Christmas Tree lighting, at the corner of Main and Roop Street and on December 8th from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m. in the parking lot at Susanville Supermarket IGA.

You may also contact Toys for Tots at 260-1222.

Ginder also thanked Forest Office Equipment for designing and printing the tickets.
