Lassen High student Caleb Montgomery recently traveled to Lincoln, California to compete in the Pacific International Trap Association’s state championship, against some of the best trap shooters in the state. Montgomery became the “A” Class Singles Champion and overall Handicap Champion by winning a 50 Round shoot off with a AA class 27-yard shooter.
Montgomery also competed for the PITA ‘Rookie of the Year’ title and won the High Overall Average Champion title out of three events.
He will now go on to represent the entire state of California as he travels to Spokane, Washington in July to compete in the PITA Grand Pacific National Championships.
Hundreds of shooters from all over the western United States and Canada will be competing in multiple events during the 7-day championship.
Montgomery rejoins the Lassen High School Claybreakers this Saturday and Sunday as they compete in the CYSSA State Championships.
